At the start of your next rehearsal, write this anonymous quote on the board. I wouldn’t say a word. I would just stand and stare at it. “Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.” For any and every endeavor our students undertake in our rehearsals – let alone in life – I can think of few lessons that could be better.
