One of the best ways I know to recharge my teaching and ignite my spirit is to read a good book. The Power of Positive Students by Dr. William Mitchell is a book that will surely make you think, inspire you, and leave you wondering about ways to be even more effective, uplifting, and yes, “positive” in the classroom and rehearsal hall. Though it was written in the mid-eighties – so it might be a bit hard to find a copy – its message is as important and powerful today as it was then.
