I was recently asked to rattle off a list of some of my favorite books about education. Toward the top of my list, I mentioned “Teacher & Child” by Dr. Haim G. Ginott expecting everyone to nod their heads with confident agreement; much like remembering an old friend. Instead, I saw many puzzled and curious looks. I immediately realized that I was dating myself with my assumption. Sadly, for many in the room, they had never heard of the book or its author. So I decided to remedy that here. Whether you would be rereading it or reading it for the first time, I would suggest reading it again to invigorate your mind and spirit. It is truly a book that every teacher should cherish.
