Before school, write these words on the board. Just as you start a class or rehearsal, walk over to the board, tap on it, and point to the words. Then, just look at them and nod knowingly. I wouldn’t say a word, though this quote would surely be a great springboard for discussion or a writing assignment. The quote represents everything we hope to instill in them. It is surely a succinct instructional guide for that day’s rehearsal, for school in general, and for life. No truer words have ever been expressed. “You must aim high, not in what you are going to do at some future date, but in what you are going to make yourself do today.  Otherwise working is just a waste of time.”  – Edgar Degas
